About the Recipe

Smoothies provide a tasty solution for anyone who has lost their appetite. As you can see in the photo, some melted dark chocolate is swirled around the glass for an extra feel-good boost.

Ingredients

  • 1¼ cups almond milk, preferably homemade

  • 2 handfuls spinach

  • 1 small avocado

  • 2 dates

  • 2 tsp tahini

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 20g dark chocolate, melted (optional)

Preparation

Step 1


Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.


Step 2


For a creative effect, using a tablespoon, swirl the chocolate around the inside of the glass.


Step 3


Enjoy for breakfast, a snack or sip throughout the day.


Smoothies can provide all the elements of a complete meal when the appetite is poor and digestion is compromised. There is a good amount of protein, healthy fats, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals all in one drink. Sip slowly throughout the day to provide steady energy.
