Fall in Love with Food, and a Healthier You
An education in food for life
A sustainable health plan that works for you
A supportive journey to optimal health
I am Susan Fruhman and I am forever fascinated by the power of food. I am a fully registered and insured nutritional therapist and member of British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and a registered Zest4Life practitioner.
Nutritional therapy is an education, and I keep my own up-to-date by reading recent journals, attending regular conferences and workshops, and carrying out interdisciplinary research.
Who Can Benefit from Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy can benefit everybody. Whether you’re struggling to reach your peak, having troubles with your health, or simply looking to stay on top of your healthy living, a Nutritional Therapist can help you lead a healthier, happier life.
Nutritional therapy can help with the following:
How Does it Work?
It's as Easy as 1,2,3
You are unique; your nutritional therapy journey will also be unique, but here is a general overview of what you can expect:
The Discovery Call
It all starts with a free ‘discovery call’. During this call, you let me know why you want to see a Nutritional Therapist. This may be a specific health condition, to improve general wellbeing, or to prepare for a sporting event, for example.
I will explain a little bit more about what your nutritional therapy may involve and end the call by booking your initial consultation and sending a health questionnaire along with a 7 day food diary – this bit is really important.
We get to meet in person – with a pot of herbal tea if you wish! Your first consultation at my Cheshire base involves:
Detailed analysis of your dietary and nutritional intake
Detailed health and family case history
A strategy for health – linking symptoms to nutritional imbalances and providing support and encouragement to change diet and lifestyle
Action Plan – personalised advice for diet and lifestyle changes
Supplement Programme – details of any recommended nutritional supplements if required
The recommendation of clinical tests if needed, to help ascertain any suspected underlying conditions
We decide on a nutritional therapy schedule that works for you.
For some, a one-off advisory session will be plenty to keep them on track with their journey to optimum health, others may require a monthly meet up; for more complex cases a weekly meeting over 12 weeks might be necessary.
